Good practice in academic research is recognized by the following: 1. The application of the highest possible standards of honesty, confidentiality and care. 2. A continuing endeavourer to keep abreast of developments in the relevant subjects and disciplines, including their methodologies. 3. A critical approach to one’s own research results. 4. Positive and fair leadership in contexts where work is carried out by teams. 5. The encouragement of collaborative and cross-disciplinary work. 6. Integrity in applying for public or private sources of funding and probity in using the funds only for the purposes for which they are given. 7. The clear documentation of the methods and processes that are used in the research. 8. The safe and secure storage of primary data, and a safe and secure method of disposal after this time. Hey these tips are helpful, I'm trying to do research on how overpopulation will affect the environment. And to see if there is any humane / moral /ethical solution to our overpopulation issues.
