The ALS Association Spring 2004 - Biannual Call for Abstracts The Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association is now accepting abstracts for multi-year grants, one-year starter awards and post-doctoral fellowships. Multi-year awards will not exceed $80,000 per year. Starter grants will not exceed $40,000 per year. Post-doctoral fellowships will not exceed $40,000 per year for a maximum of two years. Starter grants are one-year grants awarded to new ALS investigators or one-year pilot studies submitted by established investigators. The ALS Association will support innovative research of high scientific merit and ALS relevance. The Primary Investigator named on the application of a multi-year award cannot request salary support and cannot be a post-doctoral fellow. No-indirect costs will be given to any of the grant awards. Abstract Deadline is January 2, 2004 You may apply by completing the attached form. Please note the abstract must not exceed one-page and must include all the information requested on the form. Please email the completed form to researchgrants@alsa-national.org The abstract form may also be retrieved from our website at alsa.org/research/After submitting your abstract, your proposal will be reviewed to determine whether a formal application should be filed. You will receive notification to file a full application by January 20, 2004.
